Sex-abuse scandal rocks Brooklyn's Orthodox Jewish community

CWN - December 14, 2011

Public prosecutors in Brooklyn, New York have arrested 85 people after a sweeping investigation of sexual abuse within the Orthodox Jewish community.

Prosecutors have identified 117 victims of alleged abuse. The investigation apparently took on new urgency when Andrew Goodman, who was free on bail after being indicted on 144 counts of abuse, was seen welcoming young boys into his home. Police believe that Goodman has molested dozens of boys.
