The event will include testimony on initiatives inspired by the teaching of the late Pontiff, and will be attended by nearly 700 health-care professionals, pastoral workers, and Catholic prelates as well as ecumenical representatives.
The November 30 meeting of the Pontifical Academies will focus on a discussion of the witness of martyrs, and will include a lecture by Fabrizio Bisconti, the archaeological superintendent of the catacombs. The highlight of the meeting will be the presentation of the Pontifical Academy Prize to distinguished young artists and researchers.
