Guatemala: prelate leads thousands in march, Mass for peace
CWN - October 25, 2011
Guatemala’s leading prelate led over 20,000 people in a march for peace on October 22, the liturgical memorial of Blessed John Paul II. An estimated 17 people are killed in Guatemala every day.
The march culminated in a Mass for peace celebrated in front of the cathedral. “To ensure the rights of health and home, to have better job offers, are another way of fighting for peace,” he said.
