Convicted killer wrote to archbishop before execution
CWN - October 21, 2011
Shortly before his execution, a convicted killer in Florida wrote to Archbishop Thomas Wenski of Miami, thanking the prelate for his efforts to halt the execution.
The letter from Manuel Valle reached Archbishop Wenski after Valle had been put to death for the murder of a police office. Although the convict did not express any remorse for the killing, he told the archbishop: "I am well, at peace, and prepared for whatever God's will has in store for me within the next week."

I am happy this convicted killer found peace, and pray that God's holy angels come to greet him. May he rest in peace, and may the souls of all the faithful rest in peace. I also pray for the victim's family and those who had anything to do with this ordeal.
