Irish iPhone 'app' promotes priestly vocations

October 17, 2011

An Irish bishop has introduced a new iPhone application designed to encourage vocations to the priesthood.

Bishop Donal McKeown, an auxiliary of the Down and Connnor diocese, presided at the launch of the “Vocations app,” designed by Father Paddy Rushe and developed by Magic Time Apps of Dublin. The program provides ready answers to frequently asked questions about priestly vocations, connections to each of the 26 dioceses of Ireland, and informal tests to help a candidate measure his own suitability for the priesthood.
