One year after visit to Britain, Pope repeats call for new evangelization there
CWN - September 20, 2011
Pope Benedict XVI has sent a message to the Catholics of Great Britain, marking the 1st anniversary of his visit there, thanking them for their “warm welcome.”
The Pope reminded the faithful in Britain of the challenge he had given them: “to become heralds of the new evangelization.” That, the Pontiff said, meant that they should “bear joyful witness to the truth of the Gospel, which frees our minds and illuminates our efforts to live wisely and well in society.”
