Swiss bishops apologize for insufficient action against apartheid
CWN - September 16, 2011
The Swiss episcopal conference has apologized for not doing more to combat apartheid in South Africa during the 1970s and 1980s. The apology follows the publication of a study that found that Swiss mission societies were “cautious” and “hesitant” in speaking out against the practice.
