Franciscans pinned down in Tripoli

A community of 3 Franciscan friars has been pinned down inside a monastery in Tripoli as fighting rages through the Libyan capital.
The Franciscans were barricaded inside their monastery during intense street-to-street fighting. “No one dares walk in the street because people are shot on sight,” an eyewitness in Tripoli told the Fides news service.
