8 US bishops named World Youth Day catechists

The Pontifical Council for the Laity has selected 250 bishops from around the world, including eight from the United States, to serve as catechists during World Youth Day, which will take place in Madrid in August.
The eight US bishops selected are Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, Cardinal Seán O’Malley of Boston, Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, Archbishop-elect Charles Chaput of Philadelphia, Bishop Samuel Aquila of Fargo, Bishop Edward Burns of Juneau, Bishop William Murphy of Rockville Centre, and Auxiliary Bishop Frank Caggiano of Brooklyn.
