US bishops issue brief statement on economic crisis

November 12, 2008

The US bishops yesterday issued a brief statement on the economic crisis. Expressing prayers and ‘active support and solidarity with all those who are being hurt by the current economic crisis,’ the bishops said that ‘this disturbing and complicated situation brings home a universal truth: we are all children of God. We are our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers. We are all in this together.’
