Pontiff to consecrate world’s youth to Sacred Heart
CWN - July 18, 2011
Pope Benedict will consecrate the youth of the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during World Youth Day in Madrid in August.
“The Pope will consecrate every young person in the world, not only the ones present at the vigil,” according to the catechesis prepared by World Youth Day organizers. Calling St. Margaret Mary Alacoque “an instrument elected to propagate the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, accompanying Him in the Eucharist by means of the Eucharistic Adoration and the practice of the Holy Hour,” the catechesis offers an overview of consecration to the Sacred Heart.
