Brutal Vietnamese government response to Hmong protest demonstrations

Dozens of Hmong Christians have been killed, and scores wounded, in a brutal government crackdown on demonstrations demanding religious freedom and land reform.
The violence against Hmong villagers on the Vietnam-Laos border began on May 3. Hundreds of families have reportedly been driven from their homes by military attacks.
