Kmiec: bias against religion led to resignation as ambassador

The outgoing US ambassador to Malta has charged that hostility toward religion prompted his resignation.
Doug Kmiec, the former law professor and pro-life theorist whose support for Barack Obama stunned many of his fellow Catholics, said that he resigned after he was criticized for "refusing to either suppress the relevance of faith in my life and writing, or to disregard the President’s assignment to promote inter-faith dialogue."
Kmiec disclosed that he had planned to leave his embassy post on August 15--the feast of the Assumption--but was prompted by the State Department to move his departure forward to the end of May.

Sorry, dear professor, but you still won't admit that the "souless, secular censorship" you decry comes not just from the Indians in this Administration but also, and primarily, from the Chief you still celebrate. When you finally tumble to that obvious truth and repent of your support for the Secularist in Chief, then, and only then, will I take you seriously again.

When someone gets what he deserves it is no injustice. Doug Kmiec should reflect on the real and day-to-day injustice inflicted on thousands of the most innocent of humans by the actions of his hero. Yea, to lie with a dog is to rise with fleas. Doug Kmiec should man up and admit he was wrong. Instead he snivels. In an earlier comment I said he was back in my graces. I was wrong.
