Catholic Recipe: Corn-Coconut Dessert

  • 1 1/2 cups grated corn
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon anise seeds

DIRECTIONS

Combine corn, coconut milk, sugar, salt. Strain mixture into saucepan. Add anise seeds. Cook 5 minutes on high heat; stir constantly. Reduce heat to moderate; bring to boil. Pour into deep glass dish. Cool thoroughly. Turn out on platter to serve. Yield, 6 servings
