These are ideas for having a birthday party for a small child.

DIRECTIONS

Make a carousel cake — a plain cake, not too rich, put together and topped with white frosting. Scatter colored sugar all over the top, center the candles, one for each year, and arrange a procession of animal crackers around the edge. The crackers can be decorated with melted chocolate applied with a fine paint brush-stripes for the tigers and zebras and dots for the giraffes and dogs.
