Catholic Recipe: Sparkling Wine Punch

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package (12 ounces) frozen raspberries
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 bottle sparkling Burgundy
  • 1 bottle dry champagne
  • 1 bottle sautérne
  • lemon slices (optional)

This punch is appropriate for an anniversary party.

DIRECTIONS

Combine raspberries, lemon peel, and juice. Simmer 10 minutes; put through food mill or sieve. Cool. Pour over ice in punch bowl. Add wines just before serving. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired. Makes about 25 servings.
