Catholic Recipe: Rutabaga Puff

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1-1/2 cups hot mashed potatoes
  • 1-1/2 cups hot mashed rutabaga
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 Tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 egg, well beaten

This recipe consists in adding mashed rutabaga to mashed potatoes and then baking the mixture. Add extra time to prepare the mashed potatoes and rutabagas.

DIRECTIONS

Combine all ingredients; heap in greased 1-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 30 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
