Catholic Recipe: Milk Rice

    INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • sugar ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Scald milk in double boiler over boiling water. Add rice, salt, sugar. Cook until rice is tender. Turn into serving dish.

Brown butter in skillet.

Pour browned butter over rice. Sprinkle with equal parts of cinnamon and sugar.
