Description:

These prayers are used from Easter Monday until Ascension Thursday.

Prayer:

BEFORE THE MEAL

Leader: We have cause for abiding joy; for God raised Jesus up and set him free from the grip of death. Behold, Jesus died and now lives for evermore. Alleluia!

ALL: He has gone before us. Yet he is with us for all time. Alleluia!

Leader: Father, bless this food and this time together. Strengthen us to live together in love, united to Jesus whom you have made both Lord and Christ, for ever and ever.

ALL: Amen.

AFTER THE MEAL

Leader: Father, we thank you for this meal and all that comes to us through your beloved Son, who is truly risen from the grave, for ever and ever.

ALL: Amen.
