Catholic Prayer: Lent Table Blessing 2

Description:

These prayers are used from Ash Wednesday through Wednesday of Holy Week.

Prayer:

BEFORE THE MEAL

Leader: We have stumbled in our sinful ways, as if we could not be healed. Let us return to the Lord, our God. Though our sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow.

ALL: Though they are red as crimson, they shall be made like wool.

Leader: God of mercy, uncover your face and be gracious to us. Heal us and out of your own bounty give us new life, through Christ our Lord.

ALL: Amen.

AFTER THE MEAL

Leader: Merciful God, we thank you for your kindness which exceeds all we ever knew of you. To you, Healer of us all, be honor and glory, both now and for ever.

ALL: Amen.
