Catholic Activity: Catechesis for Children

Make sure your child's schooling strengthens his faith and reinforces the truths that he learns in the home.

DIRECTIONS

If it is at all possible, you should plan to enter your child in a Catholic school. If you live in a city or district where none is accessible, you should include in your plans for his formal schooling his enrollment in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine School of Religion provided by your parish church. This will not relieve you of your responsibility to teach religion in the home, however.

It should be your constant prayer and determined plan to maintain a wholesome Catholic atmosphere in your home and to conduct yourselves as good parents should, remembering always that good example is the greatest teacher.
