VATICAN PREFECTURE OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS
Established by Pope Paul VI in 1967, it directs and co-ordinates all the financial aspects of the work of the Holy See. It sets budgets, controls expenses, and in general makes sure that the numerous enterprises of the Vatican operate on a sound economic basis.
