TASTE
The bodily sense adapted to perceive flavors. The term is often used in sacred literature to describe "tasting" the Lord or "tasting" a revealed mystery. It implies the existence of a spiritual sense that can experience a sweetness on contact with divine truth similar to the saovr of pleasant food or drink.
