SPOON
The spoon used in the EAstern Rite liturgy to communicate to the faithful a part of the Host soaked in the consecreated wine. A spoon may also be used to measure a few drops of water to be mixed with wine at the Offertory of the Mass. And a spoonful of water may be given to the sick to help themswallow the Sacred Host.
