SPIRITUAL REBIRTH
The transformation of soul which takes place when a person is baptized. The term was used by Christ when he said that one must be reborn of water and the Holy Spirit to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Through baptism a person is reborn supernaturally, comparable to his or her physical birth naturally. the supernatural life of God is infused into the soul at baptism, much as human life is infused into the body at conception.
