1. Simon Peter, the head of the Apostles and the first Pope (see PETER); 2. Simon the Canaanite, called the Zealot. Another one of the Twelve Apostles (Luke 6:15); 3. a leper who was cured by Jesus and who invited him to his home in Bethany for dinner (Mark 14:3); 4. a cousin of Jesus referred to as his "brother" (Mark 6:3); 5. a man from Cyrene who was compelled to help Jesus carry the Cross (Mark 15:21).
