PSALTER OF MARY

Definition

The Psalterium Marianum. A compendium of the Psalms and Canticles applied to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was composed by St. Bonaventure (1221-74). The Rosary, because of its one hundred fifty Hail Marys corresponding to the number of the Psalms, is sometimes called the Psalter of Mary.
