NATURAL RELIGION

A composite of all those duties to God which human reason can discover by its own power and apart from supernatural revelation. three principal truths and corresponding duties constitute natural religion: 1. God exists and is a Being of infinite excellence and worth; human beings therefore owe him special reverence; 2. God is the First Cause, as the author and provider of all that anyone is and does, everyone therefore owes him special service; 3. God is the Final Destiny and Highest Good in whom alone the human heart can find happiness; he therefore deserves special love.
