LINUS

A Christian in Rome, evidently a companion or follower of Paul, because in the conclusion of a letter Paul sent Timothy, Linus was one of four who sent greetings (II Timothy 4:21). According to Irenaeus, Linus succeeded Peter as Bishop of Rome.
