IDEOLOGY
The ideas that influence a whole group or society and motivate their conduct. It is immaterial whether these ideas are true or false; they become an ideology when they move a people to action. One of the features of the modern world is its capacity for creating new ideologies, or changing former ones, through the mass communications media.
