HOUSE BLESSING
One of several liturgical blessings of a home approved by the Church. A standard formula, which the priest recites, while sprinkling the house with holy water, begins: "We earnestly beseech You, God the Father Almighty, to bless, and sanctify and endow with every gift this home, its furnishings and those who dwell herein."
