FANTASM
Sense experience in the human imagination, out of which the intellect abstracts ideas. The sense impression may be pictorial, auditory, or any other corresponding to any of the external sensations. Divine communications often occur as fantasms, as in the biblical revelations of the New Testament, said to have taken place in a dream. Also spelled "phantasm."
