EULOGIA

Blessing or something blessed. The word was used in early Christian times for a benediction, and also for a blessed object, especially bread. It still refers to the pain bénit that is sometimes blessed in Church and either eaten there or taken home. Eulogia can likewise mean the Holy Eucharist. (Etym. Greek eulogia, praise; literally, good speaking.)
