EUCHARISTIC ELEMENTS
The sensible matter of the Sacrament of the Eucharist, over which the words of Consecration are pronounced. They are bread, freshly made of wheaten flour, and wine as the natural uncorrupted juice of the grape. In the Latin Rite the bread is unleavened (without yeast); in the Eastern rites it is leavened.
