DIOCESAN PATRON
The saint, angel, or special divine attribute under whose patronage a diocese has been place. It is the sacred title by which the persons in the diocese are identified, and in whose honor they are consecrated. The patronal feast of each diocese has specific liturgical provisions for a bishop and priests to follow.
