CONTROL OF PASSION
A person's sensitive and imaginative life and activity under control and ruled by reason. This means exemption from the sway of concupiscence, which makes the practice of virtue difficult. Passions controlled make one's lower faculties subservient to reason, the body to the soul's demands, and the will subject to God.
