CHARACTER

Moral qualities of a person, founded on his or her temperament and developed by free choices, which distinguish one as an individual; a person's habitual virtues and failings which make one a distinct moral individual. In a praiseworthy sense, character is the integration of a person's nature and nurture in one's moral habits and the expression of these in daily living. (Etym. Latin character; from Greek charaktēr, an engraved or stamped mark.)
