BELIAL
Wickedness, lawlessness. The word is personified in the New Testament. Paul says, "Light and darkness have nothing in common. Christ is not the ally of Belial" (II Corinthians 6:14-15). (Etym. Greek belial; from Hebrew b_l_ya'al, worthlessness.)
