APOSTOLIC CANONS
A set of eighty-five canons, forming a part of the Apostolic Constitutions and attributed to the Apostles. Dating from the late fourth century, they represent the Church's early tradition on ordination, moral conduct of the clergy, and the duties of Christians. They became part of the Church's early canon law.
