Welcome, welcome

By Fr. Wilson (articles ) | Jun 05, 2003

From UPI comes the very welcome news that Pastor Leonard Klein, a clergyman of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), has announced that will be received into the full communion of the Catholic Church. Pastor Klein, currently pastor of Christ Church in York PA, was for years editor of the always interesting Lutheran Forum. One memorable editorial he wrote there, commenting on the decision by the ELCA to have its insurance for clergy and employees cover elective abortions, bore the memorable title, "Real Churches Don't Kill Babies."

Pastor Klein is very highly regarded among ELCA clergy and laity. Happily, he is planning to seek ordination as a Catholic priest.
