...and watch your language, you #@!#!‡°?#!!

By Diogenes ( articles ) | Sep 15, 2009

Father Tom Rosica, of Salt and Light Television, dislikes intemperate language. We know that, because in his comments on the Kennedy funeral, the influential Canadian priest decried the "vicious attacks launched on blogs," and the "self-righteousness, condemnation and gnosticism" of the  "little children bullying one another around in schoolyards" who were "sowing seeds of hatred and division."

LifeSite News took exception to those remarks, and answered with a polite but definitely critical appraisal of Father Rosica's remarks. That criticism sent Father Tom around the bend, and in an interview with the Sirus radio's Catholic Channel, he denounced LifeSite News (explicitly) and other pro-life outlets (unnamed) for purveying "nonsense." In the course of the interview, Father Tom made the following comments about these other Catholic commentators and their work:

...it is not ethical, it is not honest.
...they are wreaking division and havoc
...It is bombastic, it is derisive and it is divisive.
...the work of Satan

Father Rosica concludes: "I think civility, charity, kindness and humanity - when they fail from the picture, when they are not present, we have a big problem on our hands."

True.
