More on the Monroe IHM's

By Fr. Wilson (articles ) | May 02, 2003

Well, the environmentally correct Motherhouse of the IHM Sisters of Monroe MI is edifying indeed.A visit to their website is also illuminating. The website is well designed; I was looking for the Novitiate section and can only find one young ladyprofiled. You'd expect this of any self-respecting congregation focusing on quality rather than quantity. One suspects that this community would not have had much time to further pollute the environment even had they not renovated the Motherhouse.

The contrast with another growing communityis interesting.

The future of Religious Life in our country is much clearer than it was thirty years ago. This is but another aspect of our Church's life about which we are in denial.
