May celebrated Father Andrew Greeley's 50th year as a Priest!!
The above from Fr. Greeley's website. Some of us can remember a time when May had other priorities.

I don't really know how influential Greeley is but whether or not he is influential, I definitely would not classify him as a thinker. An romantic ideologue who is blind to the dogmatic because it is intolerant of pastoral warm-fuzzies. Whether or not he actually does so, he is among those who want to hold hands or give group hugs during the sign of peace. Thinking means you gain as much clarity as possible about the realities, facts and truths of the faith in a logical manner.

I've known a lot of priests in my time and he was one of them.

His website describes him as: "One of the most influential Catholic thinkers and writers of our time..." God help us and spare us!

What an ego! Is there a cause underway for his beatification while living?
