There are child molesters who are dangerous and perhaps evil men. ["perhaps" is a nice touch, Father!] But the vast majority are troubled people, trapped in a web of denial, inner conflict, anger and fear. They wait for an understanding heart and a helping hand.
And boy, did they find it.
