It's been a banner week for commentary here at CatholicCulture.org. One of the most important topics has been the growing efforts to precipitate change in Catholic teaching on marriage, family and sexuality. See:

The October Synod on the Family presents both promise and danger to the Church. We need to understand and find more effective ways to deal with the widespread abandonment of a Catholic vision of the family, even by those who call themselves Catholic; but we need to find effective ways to help people to embrace the vision, not to undermine it.
