The title of this message is not meant to convey my own personal satisfaction with the Church, but to point to something deeper: The Church really is the most extraordinary institution on the face of the earth—ever.

Given this reality, it is painful to see how many Catholics act as if the Church is subject to their own judgment, and treasured only on their own sufferance. For them, the Church is merely an association. Hence the topic of my latest In Depth Analysis:
