A new Pew Survey shows a marked reluctance of Catholics to oppose the reelection of Barack Obama, the force behind the HHS Mandate requiring support of contraception, sterilization and abortion. In On the Culture today, I comment on The Pew Survey's Most Sobering Result.
The continuing lack of discipline among Western Catholics when it comes to their political stands against intrinsic immorality has led to frequent discussions of the advisability of applying appropriate canonical penalties.
