The battle to rollback the contraception/sterilization/abortion mandate in the United States is continuing to gather steam. For example, the USCCB is vigorously refuting the clearly calculated lies being told by the Obama Administration to try to defuse religious criticism: USCCB insists: White House spreading falsehoods about contraceptive mandate.

Also, Ave Maria Radio has set up a web site to track and stimulate the efforts to eliminate the mandate. See our review: StopHHS.com. The site includes the National Stop HHS Mandate Petition, along with other suggestions for action.

Meanwhile, in On the Culture today, I point out that if the bishops really wish to galvanize the laity on this issue and on others to come, the shortest path for them is to insist on strong discipline among priests: Priestly Fidelity: The Time to Take Prisoners Has Passed.
