Pope Benedict XVI met on March 4 with Iceland's President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson. Their brief conversation, the Vatican reported, covered a wide range of topics including the international economic affairs, the environment, ecumenism, and the role of the Catholic Church in Iceland.
