Vatican paper condemns Qaddafi's attacks on civilians

The Vatican newspaper has condemned Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi for "merciless" attacks on civilians as he clings to power.

L'Osservatore Romano said that the latest reports from Libya "paint a frightening picture of massacres of the civilian population." Qaddafi has reportedy ordered multiple air force strikes on his own people.

    How odd that Obama and crew maintained a hands off policy in Iran when they could have helped what was probably the only genuine quest for liberty and democracy in the Middle East. They have another chance to do the right thing, but will they?
